First things first. Let’s talk about arugula.
Have you had arugula yet?
If you haven’t, you will be in for a surprise. Question is, what kind of surprise? The one you like or dislike. It could go either way.
Watercress and arugula (I feel) are similar in taste. Both are “pepper-y”. Once you start to chew it, its just like a regular salad. Then the aftertaste comes in. This is where the “pepper” comes into play. Is it me?
How would you describe the flavor? Either way, I ate it with the steak and the vinaigrette. Combining the steak, vinaigrette, watercress and arugula helps calm the strong taste and makes it much more flavorful. Why am I telling you this? I would hate for you to buy the greens and end up not liking it at all and have it be a waste. Give it a try. Don’t be scared. You’ll never know if you’re going to like until you try it. I heard that you need to try new things at least 3 times before you completely exclude it from your food choices. Have you heard that before? Comment below!
