What is meal prep
“Meal Prep” in a nut shell is the act of preparing food in advance to stick within a certain diet/meal plan/schedule, etc.”Meal Prep” can also be defined as preparing and seasoning meats (or any other proteins) in advance, as well as washing and drying of certain fruits, vegetables and/or snacks. Meal Prep can include cooked, and non-cooked meals (hence preparing meats, etc).
Why meal prep
Most of us have a 9 to 5. Others are simply always “on the run”. Meal prep helps by having your meal, snack, juice (veggie, smoothies), etc. prepared and ready for you to consume rather than purchasing unfavorable foods from a fast food place or any other similar situation. Some of us, not all, have less self discipline than others, therefore meal prep can help curb your appetite and get you out of a bind. Others meal prep to prepare for a fitness competition and need to keep their calories and macros in precise order and portion size. Other benefits of meal prep mentioned by some of “my peoples” on instagram include the following:

Who should meal prep
Simply put, anyone can. Moms, dads, college students, blue collar workers, white collar workers, yoga instructors, pilates instructors, fitness trainers, etc. Ask yourself this question, if you could simply open a fridge or food carrier and eat a healthy, wholesome meal prepared by yours truly when you’re hungry, would you be happy? If it’s a yes, then you qualify as a prepper! Congratulations!
Why “MealPrepMondays” and not Sundays?
You can prepare your meals whenever it’s convenient for you. After 6 months of a poll on our site asking all the visitors what is their day of choice to prep foods, over 80% chose Sunday over Monday. So why not MealprepSUNDAYS? Well, because I thought MealPrepMONDAYS sounded cooler. At the end of the day, especially Sunday, we could do meals to eat on Monday right? Ahhhh! See? Your welcome.
