Turkey Wrap Ingredients

It's that simple!

How to Make Turkey Wraps

Open up that wrap, and spread on some of this delicious chipotle mayo. Add the turkey, then the cheese. Top with the baby spinach. Fold both sides in half and then roll it all up. Repeat, and then add each wrap to a meal prep container or, better yet, wrap them in foil. You can freeze one, or none, or all of them!

We like the products from Primal Kitchen because they're as clean as possible, gluten-free, along with paleo, keto, and Whole30 friendly. The mayo has no soy or canola oil, either! (If you don't like chipotle, use your own mayo, but a squirt of lime juice mixed into the mayo will give this turkey wrap a flavor boost!)

How to Serve Turkey Wraps

You are right: You're seeing Sun Chips in this photo, but you do you. Other really good crunchy sides could include celery sticks, cucumber slices, or baby carrots—and those would certainly up your veggie intake. Grape tomatoes are great, too, and require no prep other than washing.

Other good sides include an energy ball or two, more baby greens, or a handful of nuts such as almonds, cashews, or pistachios.

How to Store Turkey Wraps

Like any sandwich, these wraps will keep in the fridge for a few days in airtight, sealed meal prep containers. Then, just grab and go!

If you're super gung-ho about planning, by all means wrap these wraps (pun intended!) in foil and freeze them. Pull one out the night before you intend to eat it and defrost in the fridge. Then, pack them the next day for you or your child's lunch! We promise, once you start doing these little things ahead of time, you'll wonder how and why you never did it before. Truly a time saver!

Substitutions and Alterations

  • Leftover roasted chicken or turkey would be delicious in this wrap.
  • Substitute baby arugula for spinach.
  • Stick to a straight-up mayo if adding some kick from chipotle isn't your thing.
  • Any kind of cheese works here, but we like provolone and cheddar in particular. Go spicy and choose a jalapeno Monterey jack cheese if desired, or sliced mozzarella, Cooper sharp, or good old American cheese.

Tips About Deli Meat

We like to buy good quality deli meat. Often, grocery stores will have their own in-house roasted turkey. That's going to be the most flavorful and healthiest turkey you can buy at the deli counter. Most traditional cold cuts contain lots of preservatives and salt. The closer you can get to the real thing, the better!
