I’ve wanted to make this for sooo long and I finally did thanks to my momma of course! This is such a family tradition and I need to make sure I get it down right haha!

What is Sofrito?

Sofrito is a thick “sauce” that is used in lots of latin cooking cuisine as a base. You can add it to rice (through cooking), beef, pork, chicken, etc (as a marinade).

If you think you can simply grab a tortilla chip to this and take a bite, wow are you in for a surprise lol! Consider this a….. bouillon, but in sauce form so it’s super duper concentrated (did you not see all that garlic dude?) I want to thank my mom for being such a good sport for helping me make this video and always supporting me in everything I do.  Hope you don’t mind me sharing it with the world!

  • blender

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cilantro
  • 4 cups garlic
  • 2 cups culantro
  • 1 yellow onion large
  • 1 green pepper large
  • 1/2 cup aji dulce
  • 1/2 cup oil avocado, olive, etc

Instructions
 

  • Pop all this into a blender and you're good to go!
  • Freeze for 2-3 months, or leave in fridge for up to a month.
